Put totes in the right rooms
If your totes are labeled by room, have them carried straight to where they belong. It saves you from moving everything twice.
Beds and bathroom first
Make the beds and set up the bathroom before anything else. After a long moving day, a place to sleep and shower matters most.
Then the kitchen
Unpack the basics first: a few plates, cups, a pan and utensils. The special-occasion dishes can wait.
One tote at a time
Empty a tote completely before opening the next one. Half-unpacked totes spread clutter across the whole house.
Get ready for pickup
As totes empty, wipe them out, peel off any tape or labels, put the lids on and stack them near the door. Everything should be empty and ready by your scheduled pickup date. Need a little more time? Contact JC before pickup day to extend.
