This agreement is between JC's Tote Rental ("JC's") and the customer named in the booking ("Customer"). It covers the rental of reusable moving totes and dollies in Fairbanks, North Pole and Salcha, Alaska.
1. Parties and rental details

The Customer's name, contact details, delivery and pickup addresses, package, rental length, number of dollies, delivery date, scheduled pickup date, total rental price, deposit and balance are the details entered in the booking form.
2. Packages and pricing
Prices include delivery and pickup in Fairbanks and North Pole. Each package includes the listed number of heavy-duty totes with lids.

Add-ons and delivery: Dolly: $15 each per rental. Delivery to Salcha: $25. Rentals longer than 4 weeks are quoted separately.
3. Payment, deposit and cancellation
- Deposit. 50% of the total rental price is due at booking. The booking is confirmed once the deposit is received.
- Balance. The remaining 50% is due at delivery. JC's may hold the totes until the balance is paid.
- Cancellation. If the Customer cancels 48 hours or more before the delivery date, JC's refunds the full deposit. If the Customer cancels less than 48 hours before delivery, the deposit is not refunded.
- Fees after pickup. JC's invoices any extension, late-pickup, cleaning, lost or damaged item fees after pickup. Invoices are due within 7 days.
- Unpaid balances. JC's may send invoices unpaid after 30 days to collections. The Customer pays reasonable collection costs.
4. Rental period, extensions and pickup
- Rental period. The rental starts on the delivery date and ends on the scheduled pickup date.
- Extensions. The Customer may extend by contacting JC's before the scheduled pickup date. Extensions are billed at the unplanned extension rate in Section 2, per week or part of a week.
- Pickup readiness. On the pickup date, all totes, lids and dollies must be empty and ready at the agreed pickup spot.
- Missed pickup. If the items are not ready when JC's arrives, the Customer pays a $25 trip fee. Extension rates then apply until JC's collects everything.
- Access. The Customer gives JC's safe, reasonable access for delivery and pickup, including cleared snow and ice on walkways and driveways.
5. Use of totes and dollies
- Ownership. All totes, lids and dollies remain the property of JC's. The Customer may not sell, lend or sublet them.
- Weight limit. Each tote may hold no more than 50 lbs.
- Prohibited contents. The Customer may not put anything illegal in the totes.
- Cold weather. Plastic becomes brittle in extreme cold. Below freezing, the Customer must not drop, throw, overload or stand on totes. Cracks or breaks from this kind of misuse count as damage under Section 6.
- Location. Totes stay at the delivery address or the Customer's destination within the service area. Taking them outside the service area requires JC's written approval.
6. Return condition and fees
Totes must come back empty, with lids on and stacked (nested). Normal scuffs and wear are expected and not charged.

JC's counts and inspects items at pickup. JC's tells the Customer about any fees within 48 hours of pickup.
7. Liability
- Contents. JC's is not responsible for loss of or damage to anything the Customer packs, stores or moves in the totes.
- Use at own risk. The Customer uses the totes and dollies at their own risk. This includes lifting, stacking, carrying and moving them on stairs, ice or snow.
- Indemnity. The Customer agrees to cover JC's for claims, damages and costs caused by the Customer's use or misuse of the rented items.
- Governing law. Alaska law governs this agreement.
- Whole agreement. This document is the full agreement between JC's and the Customer. Any change must be in writing and accepted by both.
8. Acceptance
The Customer accepts this agreement online when booking at totes.jcjunk.space. By checking the box and typing their name, the Customer confirms they have read and agree to these terms. The typed name counts as their signature. JC's emails a copy of the accepted agreement to the Customer with the booking confirmation.
